A Japanese website Nikkei.net broadcasts a big-bomb news that Nintendo will release its new model DS within this year. The new model will set a micro camera; enable music playback and larger screen. Here is some features approved by Japanese newspaper.

Iwata Satoru, president and CEO of Nintendo, showed Nintendo’s future tactic on its console field on E3 2008. He indicated Nintendo would keep developing new Mario and Zelda games. “I wish all players could be infatuated with our new games.” He added.

A new version DS will send out while Sony establishes PSP 3000.
From the picture, we see a smart DS with the thiner stature.  Two buttons are added beneath the control pad, which means new function is available? And it’s little bit funny the two screens don’t have the same size.
No word on a release date.
