Installation

Format the card then simply drag-and-drop firmware flies on Installation Disc into the SD card.

GUI

The main menu contains 3 options: Game, Multimedia and Boot Slot-2.

Game - the DS game which is draged into the card will be listed on the screen, choose one and press A button to launch it. For the first time running a game the system will automaticlly create a savedata file which is used in game. Press R button to activate the soft-rest function (press Y+X+A+B+L+R botton simultaneously to restart the game). R4 also support the Action Replay cheat Code, press Y botton to enter the cheat menu if there’s cheat code for the certain game.
Multimedia - it offers a popular homebrew multimedia playback called Moonshell, which allows to watch videos, listen to music, etc.
Boot Slot-2 - it provides an option to boot slot 2 cards from the R4 interface, simple PassMe feature.

Performance

R4 does 100% ROMs compatibility and works perfectly with almost DS games at full speed, it also one of the biggest platform for homebrews. DLDI auto-patching and download play are supported in the latest version kernel.

Installation

The same as many slot 1 flashcards, move the setup folder and files directly into the card.

GUI

Multi functions are the highlight of M3 Real, so there’re 7 icons on the GUI: Game, My Cards, Boot, Multimedia, PDA, Config and GBA. Stylus control is available.

Game - Choose the game and press A button to enter the detail setting. M3 offers cheat code, soft reset and slow mode setting (to slow down the game speed). Here’s two set of soft reset combination to choose from. Press START button to launch the game when setting is finished.
My Cards - it’s a short cut to launch homebrew and games.
Boot - it’s offers whether to boot from Slot 2 for DS or GBA game.
Multimedia - Movie in .DSM format and MP3 can be played with GBalpha’s media player, e-book and picture view function are also available.

EZ’s graphical GUI is simple and easy to understand, there’re five icons on the left side: Brightness Adjust, Softreset, Help, System Setting (nopass feature and cheat) and Soft Shutdown. The Rumble is optional with 3in1 Expansion Pack.

With Moonshell built in, EZ Flash V Plus supports for MP3,Ogg, WAV, MOD, DPG, BMP, JPG, PNG and text files by highlighting the file and pressing A to launch.

Performance

All issued games work with the latest kernel, for one special game - Band Brothers DX it may use about 1.5 minutes to creat a 8MB save data for the first time play. The download play is also satisfied.

With developer and community support EZ Flash V performs well-done in compatibility for software and its unique extra features. The price is not the bottom one but still competitive with R4, M3 etc. It’s fairly a good choice to choose.
