Enterbrain stated the Japanese videogame market sales statistics report in the first half year of 2009, summarizing in one word: tragedy. According to the report, the total sale amount of videogame console decreased 26% compared with the last year, while software sale shrinked 22%.
The analysis pointed out that there were lack of masterpieces which could impact the videogame consumption like SMB Brawl and Monster Hunters 2G in 2009. The same social phenomenon has taken place in North Amerca, too. But Nintendo, the only one who profited from the console war in the past two years, began to shown his tiredness since the sharp drop of sale of Wii console.
People spontaneously aim their targets on the most potential two games in that situation: Dragon Quest IX on DS and Final Fantasy XIII on PS3. The first one will be announced in 11, July, and another one is still in mystery.
