What do you think Wii Sensor Bar it is? Majority of people consider it as an infrared receiver, correspond to Wii Remote as an infrared transmitter. However, as a matter of fact, it plays a trick on you. Wii Sensor Bar is just such a simple electron device which consists of some IR LEDs. That means you can even replace the original sensor bar by a TV remote controller, as long as it sends out infrared signal. Since it is so simple, why not make a homemade one yourself? Cheap but also practical.
What are needed:
A battery box, 2 IR LEDs, 2 AA batteries, some wires and rubberized fabrics
If you like to add a switch, that’s OK and more convenient.
Circuit Diagram:

2 Steps to achievement
1. assemble all parts listed above according to the circuit diagram.
2. put the component assembly into the battery box, test on your Wii then.

Well, if it’s still a bar which is difficult for you to cross over, here is a third party product recommended by ishopvideogame. Light, cheap, durable and easy to use. Of course the one just meets your need.
